2nd Bite of an Old Airfix Classic (Dedicated to my Dad)

My Dad recently gave me an Airfix 1:72 scale Air Sea Rescue Launch. He bought it many years ago, but never got round to building it. Unfortunately, because of his Parkinson's desease, he will never be able to now. I also bought this model for myself, from the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford and have built it.

So, it is with mixed feelings that I will be building this model for the 2nd time. I have promised to take plenty of photos of the build for my Dad, and I will also be adding some details to it as the build progresses. Here are the 1st group of 4 photos of the launch's hull;

This model will take quite a long time to build as there will be a lot of trimming and sanding to do, as well as the details that I will be adding. Being an older Airfix kit, there is quite a bit of flash, and the fit of parts isn't perfect either.

I am also having to fit it in between finishing off my Dragon Wagon build and also a fully working PaperCraft Pendulum Clock that I will be building as well.
