New Pictures

I finally got my decent camera phone back from the repair shop, so I was able to take some good pictures of the 3 models that I have finished so far this year. Here they are;

This first set is of my Revell BTR-70 Russian APC, painted in Afghanistan colours (I think!).
(Update); I have recently found out that this isn't a Revell original, it is a re-boxing of a Zvezda kit, which maybe explains the slightly poorer quality of the model when compared to the Tamiya ones. I also found out that Granite/German Grey is wrong for Afghan Service vehicles. I've been told that Tamiya's XF5 Green is a better match. The person who told me this has first hand knowledge, as he served in the vehicle in Afghanistan!

This 2nd set is of my U.S. 6x6, 2 1/2 ton Truck, 'Deuce and a Half', or 'Jimmy' for GMC who made them. This is now one of my favourite models, I love the look of this truck and I'm glad I made the decision to add the 'hoops' to the truck bed. I think I did a really good paint job of this as well.

This last set is of my German SdKfz 232 Heavy Armoured Car 'Afrika Korps'. This goes nicely with my other German Armoured Cars; the SdKfz 222 and SdKfz 250/9. I've always liked the look of the German Armoured Cars, they look so angular and 'business like'. I'd like to get Italeri's SdKfz 234 Puma Armoured Car to complete my collection.
